Learn more about our benefits.\nJob Description\nProduct Structure Engineer - Roles & Responsibilities\nThe Product Structure Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing Master Bills of Materials (BOMs) and overall product structures across engineering and manufacturing systems.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduct Structure Engineer will be responsible for Creating and maintaining Master BOMs / Product Structure which includes Review and Authorize Engineering changes\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning) to implement and control changes to Master BOMs.\n\nPossess a strong understanding of Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Master BOM concepts, including their relationships and downstream impact.\n\nManage and support the Engineering Change process, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of change impacts on Manufacturing and Supply Chain.\n\nGenerate and maintain Assembly BOMs in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.\n\nDemonstrate working knowledge of MRP, Work Orders / Job Orders, and assembly shop floor planning processes.\n\nReview, maintain, control, and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company procedures.\n\nMaintain Master Engineering Documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and related documents supporting product development and production.\n\nTest and validate new or enhanced functionality within PDM, ERP, and other Engineering systems to ensure no disruption to day-to-day Engineering and Configuration Management activities.\n\nEnsure compliance with documentation standards, change control procedures, and data integrity requirements.\n\nRequired Skills & Competencies:\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a proactive learning attitude.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.\n\nExperience with Teamcenter (TcE) and UG NX will be an added advantage.\n\nQualifications & Experience:\nBE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.\n\n5-7 years of experience in a Production Planning, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment, with exposure to BOM management and ERP systems.\n\nFunctional Knowledge\nDemonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities\nBusiness Expertise\nUnderstands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work\nLeadership\nNo supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members\nProblem Solving\nSolves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents \nImpact\nImpacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies\nInterpersonal Skills\nExplains complex information to others in straightforward situations\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nYesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
