Learn more about our benefits.\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.** This is 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30am\nManufacturing Engineers support the development, improvement, and execution of manufacturing processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, cost, reliability, and efficiency while coordinating closely with design engineering, NPME, operations, quality, test engineering, suppliers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDevelop, maintain, and improve manufacturing methods, operating sequences, work instructions, process flows, build layouts, and assembly procedures for components, subassemblies, and final systems.\nCoordinate with design engineering, NPME, operations, quality, test engineering, suppliers, and other stakeholders to implement product improvements, and resolve manufacturing issues.\nCreate, review, route, approve, and implement engineering change requests and orders while assessing impacts to bills of material, drawings, product structures, kits, assemblies, operations, suppliers, and customers.\nUse DFx, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles to reduce cost, improve manufacturability, eliminate waste, and enhance product safety, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.\nEstimate manufacturing costs, establish or support time standards, and recommend tooling, fixturing, test equipment, process requirements, and production layout improvements.\nDevelop, support, and evaluate test procedures, build processes, operational data, and test results to troubleshoot failures and improve manufacturing performance.\nPerform root cause analysis, failure analysis, process failure mode analysis, and corrective action planning for issues found during assembly, supplier manufacturing, system integration, or test.\nGather and analyze manufacturing, quality, supplier, and test data to support data-driven decision-making and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\nSupport supplier quality and manufacturing readiness activities by engaging suppliers, reviewing supplier-related issues, supporting audits or visits, and helping resolve material or process concerns.\nCommunicate clearly across functions, train or coach participants in engineering change and manufacturing processes, mediate implementation barriers, and support effective project execution.\nMaintain strong working knowledge of manufacturing systems and tools such as PLM/PDM systems, SAP, CAD platforms, engineering change systems, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Tableau, Visio, and other software used to manage product and process data.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n1-3 years of relevant engineering or manufacturing experience.\nDemonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nEffective time management and critical thinking skills to understand priorities and support project execution.\nComputer skills including Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Tableau, Visio, and other software or systems necessary for the performance of the job.\nAbility to accommodate 2nd shift schedule Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30am\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1-2 years of semiconductor experience or other general knowledge of the semiconductor industry developed through education or experience.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
