Learn more about our benefits.\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.Role Responsibilities:\nDevelop, Implement & Maintain Test Procedures\nCreate and sustain Mayan Test Procedures for testing Endura Mainframe. Ensure test documentation is accurate, updated, and compliant with standards. Gathers Mayan test data and evaluates results; may takes corrective/continuous improvement actions.\nProduction Support\nProvide technical assistance to resolve production issues and enable timely system shipments. Collaborate with Operations and Test teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions.\nTest Fixture Development & Deployment\nCoordinate with CTE, Ops, and cross-functional teams to design, validate, and deploy test fixtures. Ensure fixtures meet functional requirements and are properly integrated into production.\nContinuous Improvement\nDrive projects to reduce standard labor hours, eliminate scrap/rework waste, and improve efficiency. Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize processes.\nProduct Transition & Manufacturing Readiness\nAttend product transition meetings, review scope, and ensure manufacturing readiness. Facilitate readiness for Mayan Test Procedures, Jigs & test fixtures, tooling, Facilities Etc...\nField Escalation & CAPA\nEngage with Test Engineers, Customers, suppliers, Ops, and DEA to resolve field escalations. Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for systemic issues.\nDMR Disposition & Supplier Issue Resolution\nTimely disposition of Production DMRs and address supplier-related issues. Drive suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nSafety & Compliance\nPerform Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) for test activities and maintain JHA throughout the manufacturing cycle. Assess and perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO); create and maintain LOTO maps for test bays.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree\n\n2-4 years of related experience\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job\n\nSolid interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nYesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
