Learn more about our benefits.\nPosition Summary\nThe Manufacturing Quality Manager is responsible for leading the manufacturing quality and inspection organization to ensure products consistently meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, internal quality standards, and applicable regulatory and Quality Management System requirements.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nManufacturing Quality\nLead manufacturing quality activities to ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.\nDrive improvement in product quality, first-pass yield, scrap, rework, defect reduction, and customer escapes.\nPartner with Manufacturing and Engineering to identify and resolve process, material, machining, coating, and product quality issues.\nEstablish and monitor key quality metrics and drive actions when performance does not meet targets.\nInspection & Quality Control\nManage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to support manufacturing and shipment priorities.\nEnsure inspection methods and acceptance criteria meet drawing, GD&T, specification, and customer requirements.\nOversee dimensional inspection and metrology activities, including CMM and precision measurement equipment.\nEnsure nonconforming products are properly identified, contained, documented, and dispositioned in a timely manner.\nEnsure inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.\nProblem Solving & Continuous Improvement\nLead investigation of complex and recurring quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, and other quality tools.\nEnsure effective containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.\nAnalyze quality data and trends to proactively identify risks and prevent recurring defects.\nDrive continuous improvement to reduce scrap, rework, inspection cycle time, and Cost of Poor Quality.\nCustomer Quality\nServe as a key quality contact for customer complaints, quality issues, and escalations.\nLead customer corrective actions and ensure timely investigation and response.\nWork with cross-functional teams to prevent customer quality escapes and recurrence of known issues.\nQuality System & Compliance\nMaintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001, internal procedures, and customer requirements.\nLead or support internal, customer, and third-party audits.\nEnsure CAPA and audit findings are completed effectively and on time.\nSupplier Quality\nPartner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to resolve incoming material and supplier quality issues.\nSupport supplier corrective actions and drive improvement of recurring supplier defects.\nLeadership\nLead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians.\nSet clear expectations for quality, productivity, priorities, accountability, and employee performance.\nManage staffing and workload to provide adequate quality and inspection support for manufacturing.\nDevelop team capability through training, coaching, cross-training, and mentoring.\nPromote a culture of quality ownership, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nExperience & Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n10+ years of manufacturing quality or quality engineering experience, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.\n5+ years of leadership or people-management experience preferred.\nStrong experience with precision machining, advanced materials, and coating processes preferred.\nStrong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensional inspection, CMM, and precision measurement equipment.\nExperience with ISO 9001, QMS, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex quality investigations and cross-functional problem-solving activities.\nStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, customers, and suppliers.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nWork Environment\nMust be comfortable working in manufacturing and controlled cleanroom environments.\nMust follow required cleanroom gowning, contamination-control, safety, EHS, and PPE requirements.\nMust be able to regularly work on the manufacturing floor to support production, investigate quality issues, and engage with employees.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nYesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
