Learn more about our benefits.\nAs a Manufacturing Technician, you'll work hands-on in a cleanroom environment to build and test our multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that’s behind the technology we use every day. You'll be responsible for building, repairing, and testing various types of equipment--including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs-- and perform audits to ensure necessary parts are available and inspected for defects. Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps you'll test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes.Role Responsibilities:\nUse work orders (including schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and instructions) to build, repair and/or test equipment of various kinds (electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components)\n\nWork under supervision, and follow procedures you learned during your training, to perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs\n\nPerform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available; inspect parts for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes\n\nUse test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies, and components\n\nComplete required job documentation (data entry) about progress, work expense and labor details; perform computer programming, repair, or software installs, as needed\n\n Minimum Qualifications:\nA high school or technical diploma, technical degree, certificate or equivalent\n\nBasic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process\n\nAbility to follow standard operation procedures (written and verbal)\n\nKnowledge of basic hand tools\n\n Preferred Qualifications:\nUp to 1 year of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience\n\nA technical education, certifications, or trainings\n\nExperience working within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines\n\nASSEET\n\nBSEET (DeVry, TSTC)\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.Additionally, because this position may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nNoRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
