Learn more about our benefits.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop structural assemblies, vacuum and thermal control systems, precision mechanisms, welded fabrications, and sheet metal components\nApply DFx principles to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and product cost\nGood hands-on experience on GD& T and tolerance stack up analysis.\nPerform structural, thermal, vibration, seismic and first-order engineering hand calculations and analyses to validate designs\nParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, failure investigations, and corrective action implementation\nAble to prepare and deliver high level technical presentations to cross-functional teams, management, and customers during the entire design cycle\nCollaborate closely with suppliers to optimize materials, welding processes, coatings, finishes, and fabrication methods and OEMs for parts selection\nDevelop and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and ECO documentation\nParticipate in equipment lab installation, qualification, sustaining engineering, and product lifecycle activities\nEnsure compliance with SEMI, safety, regulatory, and internal engineering standards\nCollaborate with CFT and product groups to resolve field reported issues.\nDrive value engineering, component standardization, and design optimization initiatives\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMaster’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline\n8 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design, vacuum and thermal control systems & sheet Metal design\nKnowledge of design methodologies, fixture design, material selection, finish, coatings, and manufacturing processes\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills\nEffective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional engineering environment\nProficiency in Autodesk Inventor & NX\nExperience creating detailed engineering drawings with GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods \nPrior experience in semiconductor industry is preferred\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nYesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
