Learn more about our benefits.\nGeneral Profile\nThe Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering Department in the daily production and engineering activities at the European Repair Center (ERC) of Applied Materials based in Fagarè - Bocca di Callalta in the municipality of San Biagio di Callalta (TV).\nThis internship provides an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nWorking closely with experienced engineers and technicians, the intern will contribute to process improvement initiatives, production process support, and manufacturing documentation activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.\nTechnical Skills\nCurrently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\nBasic understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.\nFamiliarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\nGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.\nFluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.\nResponsibilities\nSupport Manufacturing Engineers improving the daily production processes.\nAssist in developing and updating manufacturing procedures and work instructions.\nParticipate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.\nCollect and analyze manufacturing data to support operational decisions.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.\nAssist in new product introduction and process validation activities.\nCollaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.\nSupport the evaluation of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.\nMaintain engineering documentation and manufacturing records.\nFollow safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDegree in progress or recently completed in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\nPrevious academic project, or laboratory experience is a plus.\nInterest in manufacturing, operations, and continuous improvement.\nProactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.\nThis internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a global technology-driven organization.\nWe offer a six-month training program within a multinational company that is a global leader in the semiconductor industry, including a monthly expense reimbursement and meal vouchers.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nIntern / StudentTravel:\nNoRelocation Eligible:\nNoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
