Learn more about our benefits.\nRole Responsibilities:\nIdentify and troubleshoot a variety of difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision\n\nDefine, coordinate, perform and document engineering test reports\n\nDevelop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications of difficult scope\n\nPerform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision\n\nTechnically lead or execute projects; develop key suppliers and generate mechanical product specifications\n\nDesign, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes; enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies; establish standards across all operational processes\n\nSpecify and review engineering documentation\n\nImplement concepts for a variety of complex product issues and mechanical solutions\n\nClearly communicate complex or sensitive information; build consensus\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree\n\n4-7 years of experience\n\nDemonstrated experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or\nDesign for Excellence principle\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of the Applied Materials product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods\n\nProven skills on 2D/3D mechanical modelling, GD&T, and precision machine design.\n Working knowledge on machining, manufacturing, and assembly.\nHands-on experience on designing single- or multi-axis mechatronic systems. (servo-controlled actuators, positioning stages, robotic systems)\nHands-on experience on FEA, structural, thermal and model analysis, design optimization.\nWorking knowledge on vibration control, servo control.
