Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Requirements\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering or application engineering.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively with remote teams.\nStrong interpersonal skills, particularly for face-to-face interactions with local account teams and customers.\nExperience with SEM tools or inspection systems is a plus.\nWillingness to travel more than 10% annually, with typical trips lasting 2 to 3 weeks.\nTCT-TW Systems Engineer - Job Description (Roles & Responsibilities)\nCustomer Support & Collaboration (Primary Focus)\nAct as the on-site R&D representative, providing expert-level support for PDC tools, including Navigation, TPT, Scan, Detection, Algorithms, and Electron Optics.\nResolve customer tool issues through short-loop troubleshooting to maintain optimal fab automation and production flow.\nPerform fault-isolation tests and collect data for unresolved issues, ensuring clear problem statements and effective escalation paths.\nLead customer-facing technical discussions, presentations, and issue-resolution activities.\nBuild strong collaborative relationships with customer teams to identify high-value problems and improvement opportunities.\nR&D and System Engineering (Secondary Focus)\nSupport new product development by collecting and analyzing fab data in collaboration with PDC engineers across multiple disciplines.\nEnsure subsystem designs meet Market Requirement Specifications (MRS) through close coordination with Marketing and Project Management teams.\nLead architecture brainstorming sessions and drive systems engineering processes.\nConduct detailed engineering analyses and evaluate alternative design approaches.\nSupport system integration, testing, and reliability validation during product development.\nContribute to cross-disciplinary projects involving electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithm, and software design.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
