Learn more about our benefits.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork with New Product Development teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers.\nParticipation with New Product Introduction teams to ensure suppliers are involved in the development and review of specifications to promote design for manufacturability.\nContinuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology.\nPerforming the supplier technical audit process and evaluating supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier.\nPerforming quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause and correction action.\nEvaluates technical requirements of new and existing products. Applies knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to Design Engineering, which would result in savings, lead time reductions, system improvements, increased life and/or mitigated risk.\nAssist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers, supply markets, to ensure a competitive advantage.\nSupport product development and improvement teams by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers.\nFunctional Knowledge\nDemonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines\nExperience with semiconductor capital equipment industry and suppliers that provide build-to-print (BTP) components and contract manufactured assemblies and modules (assembly and test).\nExpertise in working with product development engineers (mechanical, electrical) to identify best-fit supply chain and DFM improvements.\nPrefer experience with manufacturing of machined, sheet metal, cable/harness, and electro-mechanical assembly commodities.\nBusiness Expertise\nHas knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market\nLeadership\n Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements\nProblem Solving\nSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information\nImpact\nImpacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies\nInterpersonal Skills\nExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus\nPresents NPI project and supplier engagement updates to business units and supplier quality organization management\nAble to build partnerships with suppliers and Applied Materials product development teams, seen as a key contributor and problem solver\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nNoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
