Learn more about our benefits.\nJob Description\nOverview: We are seeking an experienced Sr Python Developer with exceptional skills in core Python development, package build, Gradle, GIT, Jira, Kotlin and Groovy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Python development, SDLC and a deep understanding of software engineering principles. Familiarity with Jenkins, CI, DevOps Concept and Docker is highly desirable.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and mentor a team of Python developers, providing technical guidance and support.\n\nArchitect, design, and implement complex Python-based solutions to address business requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain high-quality Python packages and libraries, ensuring code reusability and maintainability.\n\nStrong understanding of Python Package creation and management using wheel\n\nExperience in Groovy and Gradle as well\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, design solutions, and prioritize tasks.\n\nDrive best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.\n\nOptimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Python development and related areas.\n\nBest optimization, quality work and manage the tasks via Jira, Confluence, Nexus, jFrog Artifactory, Bit-Bucket and SonarQube.\n\nMust maintain the existing backend framework of Python project that is integrated with Gradle, Groovy, Git Hooks\n\nContribute to the enhancement of development processes and methodologies.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and practices\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.\n\n10+ years of experience in Python development and package management.\n\nProven expertise in core Python and proficiency with package build tools like Gradle.\n\nStrong understanding of Groovy programming language& GIT Commands.\n\nHands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipel ines and Docker for containerization.\n\nExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.\n\nOutstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.\n\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive results.\n\n Preferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in computer science or related field.\n\nExperience with other programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Go.\n\nKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.\n\nCertification in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure Certified Developer, Docker Certified Associate).\n\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nNoRelocation Eligible:\nYesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
