Learn more about our benefits.\nQuality Engineer - FEOL\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.\nDevelop and strengthen quality assurance systems that improve product quality, process capability and manufacturing consistency. \nEstablish quality objectives, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive sustainable improvements in customer quality, defect reduction and process performance. \nPartner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to embed quality into production processes and new technology implementation. \nFoster a prevention-based quality culture that emphasizes risk anticipation, process capability, operational discipline, and continuous learning. \nGovern manufacturing quality risk through PFMEA, Control Plans, change management, MRB, Process Change Notification (PCN), and robust quality review processes.\nEnsure quality risks, non-conformities, and systemic quality issues are proactively identified, investigated, mitigated, and monitored. \nDrive sustainable recurrence prevention and risk reduction across operations. \nStrong analytical skills and statistical methods (like Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments) to interpret large volumes of data, identify trends, drive yield/performance issues, implement mitigation plans.\nWork closely with process / integration/ reliability team; internal/external customers to ensure seamless integration, address issues, and meet product specifications and quality standards.\nAble to travel on short notice when required.\nRequirement :\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.\nWork experience of at least 5 years. Proven experience (>3 years) in in-process quality control of high-volume manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of nanotechnology processes, including lithography, etch, deposition and metrology.\nProficient in statistical data analysis and process optimization and control techniques (e.g. Design of Experiments, SPC, JMP).\nFunctional Knowledge\nExperience in FEOL optics or semiconductor fabrication preferred\nDemonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field \nBusiness Expertise\nInterprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services\nLeadership\nMay lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity \nProblem Solving\nLeads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions\nImpact\nImpacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies\nAble to travel on short notice when required.\nInterpersonal Skills\nCommunicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree\nExperience: 5 - 10 Years\nWork Region: Woodlands\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nYes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
