Develops business unit, department or sub-function plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and segment/functional objectives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManages the quality/ reliability program and related business processes.\nIncludes the definition, specification, and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for developing quality/ reliability programs.\nProcess Governance: Lead global or site-specific deviation management, root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D, CAPA), and quality event reduction programs to minimize wafer scrap and excursions.\nQuality Management Systems (QMS): Establish, maintain, and audit QMS compliance against global manufacturing standards like ISO, IATF, and internal corporate objectives.\nData & Statistical Control: Drive data-driven problem-solving using Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and yield-improvement tools.\nSupplier & Customer Quality: Oversee incoming raw material standards with procurement teams and act as the technical escalation point for customer quality expectations and audits\nKey member of PCRB (process change review board) and chair documentation (OI, SOP, OCAP) meeting\nManages the application of quality/ reliability activities in administrative areas with focus on consulting with operating units to ensure continuous improvement.\nProvides inputs and recommendations for the adoption of good quality practices in engineering and manufacturing.\nProvides leadership and support to subordinates in meeting quality assurance system requirements\nSelects, trains, evaluates and manages employees to ensure the efficient operations of the function.\nFunctional Knowledge\nFront-end Semiconductor Fab working knowledge and experience.\nDemonstrates comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job families\nBusiness Expertise\nApplies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/function.\nLeadership\nManages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities and allocates resources.\nProblem Solving\nIdentifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problems.\nImpact\nImpacts the business results of a team or area by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies and developing policies and plans.\nGuided by business unit, department or sub-functional business plans.\nInterpersonal Skills\nInfluences others internally and externally, including senior management.\nPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
