This role is critical to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across our systems. You will own and optimize platforms and services such as B&T, artifact management, source control, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps development.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThis is an opportunity to construct the fundamental infrastructure working on cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and technically challenging environment of a multidisciplinary product, where your ideas and designs make a real impact.\nOur Group:\nThe Optical Diagnostics and Control (ODC) Business Unit is a leading division within Applied Materials focused on developing advanced inspection and diagnostics solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. \nWe work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, combining strong technical skills with the flexibility needed to keep up with changing industry needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain robust DevOps infrastructure and development for large-scale production environments. \nDrive operational excellence across CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories, and source control systems. \nConfigure and install Kubernetes clusters, ensuring best practices for scalability and security. \nArchitect Kubernetes-based solutions and enable automatic service deployment across environments. \nMentor and guide SW engineers to learn principles and acquire knowledge in the DevOps domain\nSupport SW engineers with the DevOps related aspects of the SDLC.\n Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. \n4+ years in DevOps/Software Development w/ DevOps related orientation\nHands-on experience with Artifactory, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). \nProven track record in Agile environments. \nDeep expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) architecture, cluster configuration, and service orchestration. \nStrong Linux OS understanding and administration. \nBash scripting\nExpertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Dockercontainer, Kubernetes, Helm Charts). \nExperience managing large-scale, high-availability systems. \nSoftware development skills (preferably Java/Python) - advantage. \nExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. \nTeam player \nGood English communication skill and presentation \nWho we are?\nApplied Materials Israel is home to the Process Diagnostics and Control business unit (PDC).
