Learn more about our . \n\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Information Security Compliance Lead is responsible for leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity compliance, governance, and assurance programs. This role oversees the implementation, maintenance, assessment, and continual improvement of information security frameworks, including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).\nThe successful candidate will partner with Information Security, IT, Legal, Privacy, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory, contractual, and industry compliance requirements are effectively implemented and monitored. The role serves as a key compliance advisor for audits, risk management, customer assurance activities, and security governance initiatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nGovernance, Risk & ComplianceLead enterprise cybersecurity compliance programs, including ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, CMMC, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and related security standards.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve information security policies, standards, procedures, and control frameworks.\nPerform gap assessments, risk assessments, and control maturity evaluations.\nDrive remediation efforts and track closure of audit findings and compliance gaps.\nEstablish governance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.\nAudit & Certification ManagementLead external certification audits and surveillance audits for ISO 27001.\nManage SOC 2 Type II readiness, control testing, evidence collection, and auditor coordination.\nLead CMMC readiness and certification initiatives, including control implementation and assessment preparation.\nConduct internal audits and coordinate cross-functional audit activities.\nManage third-party assessors, auditors, and certification bodies.\nCompliance Program LeadershipMaintain and improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS).\nEnsure compliance with contractual, customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.\nSupport customer security assessments, questionnaires, and external compliance reviews.\nPartner with control owners to ensure effective design and operation of security controls.\nMonitor emerging regulatory and cybersecurity compliance requirements.\nStakeholder ManagementPartner with Legal, Privacy, Internal Audit, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Business teams.\nProvide guidance on compliance obligations and security control requirements.\nPresent compliance status, risks, and audit results to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.\nLead compliance awareness and training initiatives across the organization.\nContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to automate compliance monitoring and evidence collection.\nBenchmark cybersecurity compliance practices against industry standards and best practices.\nDrive process improvements to enhance audit readiness and operational efficiency.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience10-15+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Audit, or related fields.\n7+ years leading enterprise cybersecurity compliance programs.\nHands-on experience managing:ISO/IEC 27001 certification programs\nSOC 2 Type II audits\nCMMC readiness and certification\nNIST Cybersecurity Framework assessments\nInternal and external audit programs\n\nExperience interacting with executive leadership, external auditors, and customers.\nExperience managing global compliance initiatives across multiple business units and regions.\nCertifications (Required / Preferred)ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor (Required)\nCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) (Preferred)\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Preferred)\nSOC 2 Auditor certification or equivalent audit experience (Preferred)\nCMMC Certified Professional (CCP), CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA), or equivalent CMMC qualification (Preferred)\nKnowledge & SkillsDeep understanding of:ISO/IEC 27001:2022\nSOC 2 Trust Services Criteria\nCMMC 2.0\nNIST 800-171\nNIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)\nRisk Management methodologies\nThird-Party Risk Management\nSecurity governance and policy management\n\nStrong audit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and executive presentation skills.\nProven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.\n\nSuccess Measures\nSuccessful maintenance of ISO 27001 certification.\nSuccessful completion of SOC 2 Type II audits with minimal findings.\nAchievement of CMMC certification readiness objectives.\nReduction in audit findings and remediation cycle times.\nImproved compliance maturity and control effectiveness across the enterprise.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nTime Type:\nFull time\nEmployee Type:\nAssignee / Regular\nTravel:\nYes, 10% of the Time\nRelocation Eligible:\nYes\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
