In this role, you will help define and advance the long-term eBeam technology roadmap-developing concepts, exploring breakthrough technologies, and driving the scientific foundation for future electron beam systems used in advanced process control.\nKey responsibilities\nDevelop concepts and technological foundations for next-generation eBeam systems.\n\nIntegrate emerging technologies and innovations that enhance eBeam product performance.\n\nContribute to the strategic direction of the eBeam technology roadmap, addressing future semiconductor process control challenges.\n\nAnalyze and optimize electron optical systems using advanced simulation and mathematical modelling.\n\nConduct feasibility studies, prototypes, and experimental testing in lab or cleanroom environments.\n\nLead cross-functional, cross-team development projects.\n\nInitiate and manage collaborations with industry partners and academic research institutions.\n\nEvaluate scientific and industrial research trends to identify technological opportunities and risks.\n\nSupport IP and patent coordination by identifying innovation potential and contributing to invention disclosures.\n\nFoster cross-team innovation, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing across the organization.\n\nWork closely with an international, multidisciplinary team and external development partners\n\n Qualifications\nAdvanced degree (PhD or MSc) in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related scientific field.\n\nExperience in simulation, numerical modeling, and strong programming skills (e.g., Python or MATLAB).\n\nIdeally, deep knowledge in particle beam system development (electron optics, high-voltage systems, vacuum technology, emitter technologies).\n\nUnderstanding of semiconductor process control is advantageous.\n\nDemonstrated experience in complex system development, from design and simulation to prototyping and testing.\n\nExperience in planning and executing technical projects.\n\nFluent English; intermediate German is a plus.\n\nCreative, analytical, and results-oriented working style.\n\nHigh level of initiative, ownership, and organizational skills.\n\nSounds interesting?
