Learn more about our benefits.\nRole Summary \nThe Software Validation Engineer (QA Engineer) is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of complex software systems through feature testing, system and subsystem integration, regression testing, and analysis. The role works closely with development, integration, and field teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nPartner with software development during design and implementation to provide risk assessment and ensure compliance with specifications. \nDesign, document, and execute test plans, test procedures, and qualification activities for features, and full systems. \nPerform feature validation, regression testing, and system-level testing; analyze results and recommend corrective actions. \nLead and execute on-tool and off-tool system testing. \nInvestigate and drive resolution of regressions testing, using logs, traces, and system data. \nBe a focal point for field issues and integration matters within the domain. \nProvide ongoing quality and integration feedback to R&D; contribute to calibration, maintenance, and test utilities when required. \nQualifications & Skills\nB.Sc. in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. \n3+ years of experience in software validation, QA, or system testing of complex products. \nStrong experience with feature testing, system integration, regression testing, and defect analysis. \nHands-on experience working in Windows environment (Hands-on with Linux - advantage). \nScripting or automation experience (Python preferred). \nAbility to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve defects. \nFamiliarity with test documentation, test management tools, and version control (e.g., Jira, Git). \nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear technical communication. \nSoft Skills & Competencies\nSolves complex problems using structured analysis and technical judgment. \nWorks independently with limited supervision and within broad guidelines. \nActs as a technical resource for peers and supports cross-functional collaboration. \nClearly communicates technical issues and test results to diverse stakeholders. \nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull timeEmployee Type:\nAssignee / RegularTravel:\nRelocation Eligible:\nNoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
