Learn more about our benefits.\nThe Supplier Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance aligning with organizational goals. This role involves end-to-end supply chain engagement, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation for machined components\nKey Responsibilities\nIdentify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for machining commodities\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers\nConduct regular supplier capability/capacity assessments to support Applied Materials demand and mitigating supply chain risks\nMeasure supplier KPI's covering cost, quality, Delivery and Lead time.\nIdentify alternate sources to enhance capacity, mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity\nContinuously evaluate market trends, cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and to maintain competitive pricing\nNegotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base\nCollaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting the cost targets and material specifications\nAct as the escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolution\nAligns and implements commodity strategies\nEngages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base\nSupport resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time\nSkills:\nStrong negotiator and ability to read people quickly and adapt to complex situations\nStrong communication skills - written & verbal\nAbility to read technical drawings\nAbility to develop strong relationships in a matrixed organization to influence multiple BU's and drive change, partnership and collaboration\nCommunicate in a clear, concise and timely manner (both verbal and written) to operate and collaborate effectively\nExperience working with people remotely and ability to leverage technology and influence appropriately in a remote and global working environment.\nExperience working on a global scale with a variety of cultures with sound knowledge of logistics & customs regulation (Import/export)\nDemonstrated ability and passion to solve problems with data driven, rigorous approach\nResourceful with a strong work ethics and excellent execution of projects and objectives\nExperience:\nBachelor’s Degree in field of Mechanical/Production Engineering\n10+ years of Experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management and/or relevant industry certification(s) preferred\nStrong Manufacturing process knowledge of machining processes\n5+ years of Leading commercial large scale negotiation with large scale suppliers\nPreferred experience working in start-up environment for establishing new supply chain ecosystems targeting domestic India market\nProficiency working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills.
