With 40+ years of experience in the Insurtech game, we’re not just redefining what’s achievable, we’re creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.\nPosition Overview\nAs a Senior Manager - Software Engineering, you will lead technical teams and provide expertise to develop and deliver industry leading software solutions, tools, and platforms.\nYou’ll lead two engineering teams in our EZLynx business in Bengaluru - one directly and one through an Engineering Manager - delivering the EZLynx 5 platform on a .NET and SQL Server backend with an Angular front end.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead multiple engineering teams - recruiting, coaching, and developing high performing engineers.\nProvide technical oversight of design and architecture across the backend and front end, and set the standard for code quality and test automation through the teams.\nOwn solutions to issues and operational challenges affecting teams, escalating trade-offs to technology and product leadership.\nAnticipate blockers, maintain delivery metrics, and protect uptime and quality, ensuring production issues are resolved rapidly.\nRun performance reviews and career development; recognise strong outcomes and address gaps with courage and compassion.\nPartner with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering Leadership on quarterly planning, sizing, and estimates.\nDefine and cascade goals so the teams deliver against company objectives and the product roadmap.\nImprove processes and documentation, and lead the teams through change by communicating benefits and enabling skill development.\nWe’re Excited to Learn More About You\n12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in people management, with experience managing teams or managers/leads\nDemonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop technical teams\nHands-on experience with C# / .NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL Server, with strong REST API design expertise\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, service boundaries, and modular architecture patterns\nAdvanced knowledge of software development methodologies, cloud platforms, and software security\nAbility to size and plan accurately, and to address root causes of technical and operational issues\nAgile Scrum experience, with working knowledge of Jira and Confluence\nDegree in Computer Science, related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience\nYou may have other skills, including\nExperience building cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including Docker and Kubernetes\nFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)\nExperience with front-end modernisation or legacy framework migration, such as AngularJS to modern Angular\nExperience in insurance technology or SaaS products, and scaling teams in globally distributed environments\nWhen You Join Team Applied, You Can Expect:\nA culture that values who you are and recognizes that you aren’t just an employee; you are a teammate, and you matter.
