At AppLovin, we are intentional about the team and culture we are building, seeking candidates who are outstanding in their own right and also demonstrate their support of others.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a smart, hardworking Business Operations Analyst to provide technical and operational support to our Business Operations (BizOps) team and the systems supporting our mobile-advertising business.\nA central part of this role is helping other BizOps analysts deliver reliable projects. You will review their code, debug existing workflows, investigate product issues, and translate business problems into actionable requests for Engineering and Operations. You will also write and maintain your own workflow code and analyze product features and experiments.\nYou will serve as a practical link between business and technical teams. We’re looking for someone who learns quickly, investigates problems independently, exercises good judgment, and follows issues through to resolution.\nAI-assisted development is a regular part of how our team works. You should be effective at using these tools and reviewing the code they produce, with the technical understanding to identify mistakes, challenge assumptions, and guide work toward reliable results.\nResponsibilities\nSupport projects led by other BizOps analysts, helping clarify requirements, review technical approaches, and resolve implementation problems.\nDebug issues in existing workflow code, integrations, and data processes. Investigate root causes and implement or coordinate fixes.\nReview BizOps pull requests, including substantial AI-generated changes, for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements. Provide actionable feedback and verify that concerns are addressed.\nWrite and maintain Python code, SQL workflows, integrations, and automations supporting the team’s work.\nInvestigate product bugs, distinguish expected behavior from defects, and gather evidence through code, logs, data, and reproducible examples.\nWrite clear tickets for Engineering and Operations that explain the problem, business impact, supporting evidence, and expected outcome. Follow up on dependencies and verify resolutions.\nManage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services supporting BizOps workflows, including service accounts, permissions, secrets, configuration, and deployments.\nSupport Salesforce workflows and integrations, including programming against its application programming interfaces (APIs).\nAnalyze product features, experiments, and operational and advertising data. Apply appropriate statistical methods, interpret results accurately, and explain limitations.\nInvestigate discrepancies across internal systems and partner platforms.\nPrioritize competing requests and communicate findings, decisions, blockers, and next steps through concise Slack messages, tickets, and documentation.\nQualifications\nAt least two years of relevant professional experience in business operations, technical operations, analytics, software development, or a related field.\nDemonstrated technical ability through a bachelor’s degree in a field such as engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or physics, or through substantial technical work, research, or projects.\nStrong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar systems, connect information across sources, and work through ambiguous problems.\nA strong work ethic and sense of ownership: you take initiative, persist through difficult problems, and follow work through to completion.\nGood judgment about data quality, system changes, permissions, and operational risk. You recognize which problems you can resolve independently and when additional expertise or review is needed.\nEffective use of AI coding and workflow tools to develop, review, and maintain substantial volumes of code. You can evaluate generated work, identify mistakes, and steer it toward the intended outcome.\nPractical experience with Python, SQL, Git, pull-request workflows, and APIs, including investigating and debugging existing code.\nHands-on experience managing GCP services and workflows, including permissions, credentials, configuration, and troubleshooting.\nExperience applying statistical analysis and data science techniques, including selecting appropriate methods, interpreting results accurately, and explaining limitations.\nExperience in advertising technology, with a working understanding of areas such as campaign delivery, attribution, measurement, mediation, monetization, or the iOS and Android ecosystems.\nClear, concise written communication. You can explain technical issues in business terms, document reproducible problems, and write requirements and tickets that others can act on.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting internal tools, reviewing other people’s code, or coordinating technical work across business, Engineering, and Operations teams.\nExperience with Salesforce administration, reporting, permission models, or integrations.\nExperience maintaining production automations, data pipelines, or shared internal applications.\nFamiliarity with least-privilege access and sensitive data handling.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nBizOps analysts can rely on you to investigate technical problems, review their work thoughtfully, and help their projects move forward.
