As an organization built on diversity, our team members are representative of the students we support.\nThe Opportunity:\nApplyBoard is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support one of our school partners in building and supporting reporting and analytics solutions that power operational performance and decision-making. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights through dashboards, data models, and reporting tools.\nYou will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, design scalable data solutions, and deliver intuitive, self-service analytics. In addition to reporting, you will analyze data and processes to identify opportunities for operational and performance improvements.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing Every Day:\nGather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions\n\nDesign and develop data models to support business intelligence and analytics use cases\n\nBuild interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau\n\nDevelop and maintain SQL-based data marts and data warehouse structures\n\nWrite complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract and transform data\n\nDevelop and manage ETL processes using tools such as SSIS\n\nSupport end-to-end BI development lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and support\n\nPartner with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues across systems\n\nProvide ad hoc data analysis and reporting support\n\nMaintain and optimize reporting performance and data accuracy\n\nCollaborate with engineering and data teams to improve data architecture and accessibility\n\nWhat You Bring to the Table:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field\n\n1-3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and building SQL-based data solutions\n\nExperience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects\n\nExperience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS or equivalent\n\nExperience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to translate business needs into technical solutions\n\nStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nAbout ApplyBoard\nApplyBoard empowers students around the world to access international education.
