The role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, operations, compliance, finance, product management, and external business partners (e.g., banks, virtual banks, brokerages). Our goal is to achieve a true balance between quality, client satisfaction, efficiency, success, and profitability. This position requires availability to 5 days a week in-client office - Hong Kong based.\n\nThe BA is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements, supporting solution design, coordinating testing activities, and facilitating successful project implementation. The role will contribute to the delivery of digital sales journeys, partner integrations, customer engagement capabilities, and operational enhancements that drive business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management\nConduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners. \nAnalyze and document business requirements, user stories, business rules, process flows, and functional specifications.\n Facilitate requirement walkthroughs and solution discussions.\nManage requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport backlog prioritization and requirement clarification activities.\nProcess, Gap & Impact Analysis\nConduct as-is and to-be process analysis.\nAssess impacts on business processes, operational workflows, systems, data flows, controls, and regulatory requirements.\nIdentify risks, dependencies, assumptions, and implementation considerations.\nCollaborate with business and IT teams to define optimal business solutions.\nProject Delivery & Stakeholder Management\nManage and coordinate project deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.\nWork closely with business users, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.\nPrepare project documentation, meeting materials, status updates, action logs, and implementation artefacts.\nTrack and follow up project issues, risks, decisions, and action items. • Build effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups. \nTesting & Quality Assurance \nDevelop UAT and Regression Testing plans, test scenarios, and test cases.\nCoordinate testing activities among business users, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.\nManage defect logging, tracking, and resolution follow-up.\nSupport business validation and sign-off activities.\nEnsure delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. \nImplementation & Business Readiness \nSupport production deployment planning and implementation activities.\nCoordinate business readiness activities, including user training and communication.\nDevelop and maintain user guides, training materials, process documentation, and SOPs.\nSupport post-implementation monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nJob Requirements \nEducation\nBachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline. \nExperience & Knowledge\nMinimum 5 years of solid hands-on Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry.\nProven experience in Life Insurance business, products, operations, and system implementation projects.\nStrong understanding of insurance distribution channels, customer journeys, business processes, and operational workflows.\nExperience supporting Partnership Distribution, Bancassurance, Broker, Affinity, or Digital Distribution channels is highly preferred.\nDemonstrated experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design support, UAT management, and stakeholder engagement.\nGood understanding of insurance core systems, digital platforms, CRM solutions, APIs, and data integration concepts.\nExperience delivering digital transformation, business process improvement, or system implementation projects. \nAgile & Delivery Knowledge\nGood understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.\nExperience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.\nFamiliarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.\nExperience participating in Agile ceremonies.\nAbility to work effectively within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments. \nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to translate complex business requirements into actionable deliverables.\nExcellent \n\nThank you for your interest in a career with Appnovation Technologies!
