We are looking for people who can bring a strong, consulting and solution-focused mindset and contribute to architectural decisions, best practices and get things done.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nDevelop backend automation that integrates multiple metadata sources and generates governed artifacts - for example, automatically producing a data contract for review, editing, and publication to the registry.\nDesign and build agent-enabled applications and workflows, including MCP servers and tools such as a data-contract generator or a data-readiness assessment utility.\nBuild user-facing interfaces for platform and discovery workflows.\nDeliver production-quality services with sound API design, testing, and CI/CD practices.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.\n6+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on fullstack development.\nExperience developing and optimizing code using AI-powered tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality. \nSoftware engineers who understand data-engineering principles and can transform catalogue and metadata output into working software. \nStrong Python engineering skills, including API and service design (e.g., FastAPI), asynchronous programming, and schema validation (Pydantic / JSON Schema).\nUnderstanding of Graph RAG data structures. \nExperience with Neo4j, Supabase.\nProven track record in architecting agentic workflows and AI-driven solutions, incorporating deep integration with LLMs and sophisticated autonomous frameworks.\nProficiency in modern frontend frameworks, specifically React and Vue.js, as well as ES6 and TypeScript.\nExperience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.\nExperience with unit testing, integration testing, and modern DevOps practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).\nExperience with Cloud Computing and Serverless Architecture, preferably AWS.\nStrong understanding of agile principles and methodologies.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience building MCP servers in addition to consuming them.\nFamiliarity with data governance and catalogue tooling and with data-contract standards.\nExperience in a regulated or life-sciences environment.\nTECHNICAL EXPERIENCE\n Backend (primary): Python - FastAPI, Pydantic, asynchronous services.\n Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js; Supabase (interfaces align with the platform’s established internal tooling).\n AI and agents: MCP (build and consume), large language model and agent frameworks, Snowflake Cortex and Genie, Neo4j.\nGovernance and catalogue: Collibra, Unity Catalogue, Horizon; YAML data contracts.\n Infrastructure and data: Docker, AWS, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Supabase\nWHO YOU ARE\nYou think about how to scale, automate and operate, not just how to build a solution to an immediate problem\nYou understand lean thinking\nYou set high standards for code quality, performance/scalability and security and seek continuous improvement\nYou have solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nYou have a customer-first mindset and a devotion to customer service\nYou engage and build positive internal and external client relationships, while managing multiple initiatives, often with competing priorities\nYou have strong self-initiative, passion, interpersonal, oral and written communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work, influence and make an impact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of the organization\nYou are responsive and thrive in a fast-paced diverse high-performance environment with rapidly changing business needs\nYou actively seek out things outside your comfort zone with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies\nYou have prior experience in consulting\nPrior experience and connections in the Life Sciences industry is preferred\nThank you for your interest in a career with Appnovation Technologies!
