This role will support the organization in managing its privacy and data protection obligations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Act as the central point for privacy governance, regulatory compliance, advisory, risk management and data subject rights.\n\n- Establish and maintain a privacy governance framework, policies, procedures and compliance documentation.\n\n- Manage data mapping, records of processing activities (RoPA) and identify privacy risks associated with data flows.\n\n- Coordinate incident and breach management, regulatory notification and corrective actions.\n\n- Conduct vendor due diligence and third-party privacy assessments, and maintain a vendor privacy risk register.\n\n- Provide privacy awareness training and conduct compliance reviews.\n\n- Prepare periodic management reports on privacy registers and compliance status.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Risk, Compliance or a related field.\n\n- 5+ years of hands-on privacy compliance experience.\n\n- In-depth knowledge of DPDPA (India), GDPR (EU), UK GDPR and applicable US privacy laws.\n\n- Experience conducting DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.\n\n- Strong communication, analytical and risk-assessment skills.\n\n- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO or ISO/IEC 27701.\n\n- Experience in AI/ML privacy assessments.\n\n- Experience with data-subject rights process automation.\n\n- Familiarity with vendor privacy risk registers.\n\nSkills\nData Privacy Management, Data Security, IT Security Strategy, Security Architect - AI, IT Head, IT Compliance, DPDK, IT Risk, Security Risk Management, ISO","description_format":"text","description_chars":1692,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["IT Outsourcing & Dedicated Teams","Software Testing & QA","AI Consulting & Integration","IT Staffing & Staff Augmentation"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T13:06:44Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["seen:0","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-26T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/appsierra-data-protection-officer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/appsierra-data-protection-officer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-27T00:31:39Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":455,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4545,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-28T00:00:00Z"}}}
