Role Overview :
As a Lead OBIEE ETL Developer, you will spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of complex data warehousing ecosystems. You will act as the technical bridge between raw data sources and executive-level business intelligence, ensuring that data pipelines are scalable, secure, and highly performant. Working closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of BI projects, translating intricate business requirements into high-impact technical solutions that drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and develop robust ETL workflows using Informatica Power Center and ODI to ensure seamless data integration across disparate enterprise systems.
- Design and implement sophisticated OBIEE metadata models and BI Publisher reports to provide stakeholders with intuitive, real-time data visualization.
- Optimize complex PL-SQL procedures and Oracle DB queries to enhance system performance and reduce data latency for critical reporting modules.
- Lead the end-to-end data modeling process, ensuring structural integrity and scalability of the data warehouse to support evolving business needs.
- Conduct rigorous performance tuning on existing BI/DW environments to resolve bottlenecks and improve overall system throughput.
- Manage project timelines and technical deliverables, providing mentorship to junior developers while ensuring adherence to industry best practices and coding standards.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end Data Warehousing and BI project lifecycles, with 8 - 9 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-grade environments.
- Advanced proficiency in OBIEE, Informatica Power Center, and ODI, with a proven ability to build and maintain complex data integration pipelines.
- Strong command over SQL and PL-SQL, with a deep understanding of Oracle DB architecture and performance optimization techniques.
- Proven capability in data modeling and schema design, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across large-scale reporting platforms.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead technical teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of technical documentation and code quality.
