Operations Leadership\nDrive all in-country operations for Qore Ethiopia - accountable for profit, revenue, cash flow, and quality targets.\nLead planning, implementation, performance reporting, and managing in-country staff and partners.\nEstablish local operational governance and ensure compliance with Ethiopian regulatory requirements (e.g., NBE, payment systems, fintech oversight).\n2. Business Development\nDemonstrate a deep understanding of the Ethiopian financial services market - clients, competitors, regulatory environment, and digital opportunities.\nBuild and nurture relationships with banks, microfinance institutions, fintechs, regulators, and ecosystem partners.\nOriginate and manage a strong deal pipeline, identify new growth opportunities, and represent Qore as the strategic fintech partner.\n3. Strategic Leadership\nServe as Qore’s ambassador in Ethiopia. Provide market insights, feedback on the product roadmap, and localization of our value proposition.\nCraft and execute go-to-market strategies tailored for the Ethiopian market, including digital lending, agency banking, card issuance, and payments infrastructure.\nManage strategic (top-down) and operational (bottom-up) stakeholder relationships across C-Suite, technology teams, and regional branches.\n4. Day-to-Day Includes\nSales & marketing: lead deal origination, market penetration, account planning.\nEcosystem development: build partnerships with telecoms, payment processors, regulators, local SIs, and ISVs.\nIn-country operations oversight: recruit & manage local team, ensure service delivery, and input to product localization.\nReporting: provide frequent updates to the head office on pipeline, operations metrics, P&L performance, and strategic milestones.\n--\nHow Success Will Be Measured?\nNew client sign-up index (B2B deals).\nSales pipeline conversion rate.\nCountry P&L performance (revenue, margin, cash).\nStrategic Core Focus Goals Execution Index.\nStaff & ecosystem partner performance metrics. \nDigital product launch and go-live metrics.\nQuality of Leadership Index.\nRequirements\nYour Bag of Tricks?\nA degree in finance, banking, marketing, or technology-related field.
