maintain database documentation, procedures, and\ngovernance policies.\n\nCollaborate with development teams to improvedatabase architecture and optimize queries.\n\nMonitor disk usage, system performance, andcapacity planning; update and maintain repositories with database-related\ncode and scripts.\n\nRequirements\nBSc in Computer Science, Information Technology orany related discipline.\n\n3+ years’ experience in Database Administration ora related data role, preferably within the financial services, technology\nor fintech industry.\n\nExperienced in SSMS, TOAD, Jupyter, Anaconda andother data related tools.\n\nMicrosoft Certified Professional or OracleCertified Professional (i.e., Any RDBMS certified professional\ncertification).\n\nExperience in leading a team of databaseadministrators, with problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong\nwillingness to learn new technologies.\n\nPassionate about Data and Databases with strongdata interpretation skills.\n\nStructured Query Language skills (SQL), ProceduralSQL, TSQL Programming; Python Programming, Excel Skills, and Bash\nScripting.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud database technologies (AzureSQL, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.\n\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word,Excel, PowerPoint).\n\nStrong knowledge of Postgres database architecture,installation, configuration, and management, including backup and\nrecovery, replication, and high availability.\n\nProficiency in SQL, including query writing,indexing, and optimization techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval\nand manipulation.\n\nKnowledge of database design principles, datamodeling, and normalization techniques to ensure scalable and performant\ndatabase structures.\n\nAbility to monitor, analyze, and optimize databaseperformance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to query\nperformance, indexing, and resource utilization.\n\nKnowledge of Postgres security features, includinguser authentication, authorization, and access control, to ensure data\nprivacy and protection.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, troubleshootcomplex data issues, and provide solutions.\n\nExcellent communication, documentation, and highattention to detail.\n\nBenefits\nQore provides the rare opportunity\nto make history in the financial space for Africa by Africans, while working\nwith the smartest, brightest & coolest minds in Africa.
