Job applications for current students will not be considered if submitted through the external career center.\nPosition Details\nThe primary duty of the Instructional/Multimedia Developer is to design, develop, and produce multimedia projects based upon project objectives, format, methodology, target audience, content, budget, timelines, and available facilities and resources. Priority will be given to projects that focus on fully online courses, some support may also be provided for face-to-face course materials and faculty development. The Instructional/Multimedia Developer applies expertise in communications, technology, and instructional design across a range of media formats and platforms to produce online courses, packaged program content, presentations, and/or marketing information\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement instructional presentations, videos, animations, and graphics to support and augment student learning.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop multimedia design and implementation strategies.\nCreate compelling and informative data visualizations that effectively communicate information and ideas to a target audience.\nElevate video quality through the application of visual effects, transitions, meticulous color correction, and other enhancements for visual refinement.\nWrite succinct technical documentation to help faculty and colleagues create compelling media assets.\nEdit audio files to reduce external noise and cut superfluous content for interactive presentations, podcasts, and other audio-centered media content\nTranslate project requirements and instructional storyboards into high-fidelity mockups and functional prototypes for various media projects.\nDevelop use cases and lead design efforts for new forms of interactive and immersive learning products.\nCollaborate with faculty and instructional designers to design, develop, and implement media production plans.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in motion graphics, multimedia design, visual communications, or a related field of study and at least two years of work experience\nExperience\nAt least two years of related work experience\nExperience collaborating within higher education settings and engaging closely with faculty\nExperience writing and editing basic HTML to create well-structured and visually appealing web content\nExperience in ADA compliance, WCAG 3, universal design, inclusion in online learning platforms, and best practices in media usage for learning resources\nExperience designing videos, narrated presentations, and graphics to support and augment instructional value in courses\nExperience in media planning and production, specializing in storyboarding, audio production, and comprehensive post-production, including video editing, to create polished and engaging motion graphics\nExperience solving complex, ambiguous problems involving multiple stakeholders and systems\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nUnderstanding of and proficiency in graphic design principles, including typography, user interface layout, color theory, and composition\nDemonstrated proficiency with Articulate, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition\nWillingness to work with and research emerging technologies\nProven ability to effectively manage multiple complex multimedia projects simultaneously\n\nWork Authorization Requirement\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
