This role will support the day-to-day accounting needs of an assigned client portfolio while assisting accounting teams and clients with 1099 preparation, and filing during 1099 season.\nPosition Responsibilities:\n1099 Tasks\nReview vendor and general ledger activity to identify 1099-eligible payments and vendors, and update related records in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and/or NetSuite as needed.\nCommunicate with clients and vendors to obtain W-9s and other required information and resolve 1099-related questions or discrepancies.\nSupport the preparation, review, and filing of 1099 forms using Avalara (Track 1099) and assist accounting teams with 1099-related matters.\nMaintain accurate 1099 work papers and documentation while managing multiple clients and filing deadlines.\nAccounting Tasks\nPerform day-to-day bookkeeping, including bank and credit card transactions, coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting tasks for assigned clients.\nProcess bills and receipts through platforms such as Bill.com, Dext, and other client-specific applications, including appropriate GL coding, classes, descriptions, and approvals.\nRecord payroll entries and perform monthly or quarterly reconciliations, update workpapers, and closing entries.\nAssist with monthly or quarterly financial statement preparation, including flux analysis.\nSupport Senior Accountants, Managers, and clients with accounting requests, open items, and issue resolution.\nMaintain process documentation, assist with process improvements, and perform self-review to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nManage multiple clients and priorities while maintaining timely, accurate, and high-quality work.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, or any accounting-related field required. CPA license or eligibility is an advantage.\nMinimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a BPO/outsourcing environment. Experience working with US Professional Services clients is preferred.\n1099 preparation and filing experience is required.\nExperience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and any 1099 software is required.
