Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join their dynamic team.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nResponsible for preparing complex Financial Service sector tax returns, including hedge funds, private equity firms, broker-dealers, investment managers, HNW, family office.\nPrepare and review tax workpapers, schedule K-1s/K-3s, tax estimates, and tax filings related to funds and holding investment companies (including but not limited to extensions, forms 1065, 1120, 1120-F, 8865, 8886, 8621, 5471, 1042, PFIC Statements, FBARs, etc.)\nPerform research, analysis and write up work in connection with planning memoranda, tax issue resolution and tax opinions.\nAssist with federal, state, and local tax notices resolutions, estimates tax payments, applications for EINs/form 8832 check-the-box elections, and Forms W-9s/W-8s.\nResearch and consult on various tax engagements.\nRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.\nUtilize tax preparation software to prepare, review and process returns.\nInteract with managers, partners and clients.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college/university required; MST is a plus.\nMinimum 3-5 years of progressive tax compliance experience in a CPA or law firm servicing financial services clients required.\nCPA license or EA designation a plus.\nWorking knowledge and/or experience with tax compliance for partnership and HNW/family office entities required.\nStrong research, writing and analytical skills.\nOverall planning and problem-solving experience.
