Through hands-on experience across multiple IT disciplines, this role contributes to building secure, efficient, and forward-looking systems that enable APS to serve one of the fastest-growing states in the country.\nWhat Your Day Would Be Like\nContributing to real IT projects that support core business and operational systems across APS gaining hands-on/real-time experience working on important and challenging projects\nThree six-month rotations through infrastructure, applications, and planning/governance teams to build broad technical and business perspective \nResponsibilities within each rotation including a combination of assignments, participating in structured learning, and preparing formalized feedback\nTroubleshooting and resolving application or production issues that impact users and services \nTesting enhancements and fixes to ensure systems are reliable, accurate, and ready for use \nCollaborating with mentors and teammates to strengthen communication, presentation, and teamwork skills \nWho We’re Looking For\nRecent graduates who are motivated learners that enjoy collaborating, solving problems, and growing into cross-functional IT professionals \nAccelerators\nAccelerator tracks are optional pathways within the Rotational Analyst Program designed to develop specialized expertise in in-demand areas. Participants follow the standard rotational structure of three six-month rotations while completing targeted training aligned to a specific functional focus. This structured approach provides enhanced skill development and prepares participants for potential full-time placement within the selected specialty upon program completion.\nParticipants in an Accelerator track may be required to complete additional agreements during or following the first rotation to continue in the specialized pathway. Applicants are encouraged to review the available 2026-2027 Accelerator track options below and indicate their interest within their application materials.\nAVEVA PI Accelerator: What makes the AVEVA PI Accelerator unique is its specialized training focused on the AVEVA PI Software. This work requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, a basic understanding of data concepts, and some experience with scripting or programming tools like SQL, Python, or PowerShell.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering or related field.\nMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.\nPrior Intern/Co-op experience in IT or equivalent experience.\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nA strong understanding of relational databases & SQL, the Software Development Lifecycle, software QA & testing best practices.\nPreferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:\nExperience working with AVEVA PI systems.\nExperience working with agile IT teams.\nGood understanding of real time data systems, data collection, systems monitoring, and visualization.\nParticipation in the APS internship program is highly preferred.\nAbility to work independently and in group settings.\nDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.\nCreative problem-solving skills and quick thinking, practical, decision making skills.\nCommitment and passion to develop into a cross-functional team member who will make a direct impact on company success.\nMajor Accountabilities\n1. Support the design, development, modification, and/or configuration support of applications and programs\n2. Support production systems, analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner; resolves end user service requests as assigned\n3. Complete unit test application changes to ensure quality of work; tests new features, enhancements, and defect fixes\n4. Maintain documentation of processes, guidelines, tools, and training aids required to support business unit.\n5. Analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications\n6. Assist in identifying and evaluating systems and procedures that are cost effective, efficient, reliable, and meet user requirements\n7.
