If you are passionate about hands-on engineering, innovation, and solving complex manufacturing challenges, we invite you to join us.\nYOUR ROLE\nWe are seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the Champion Technical Center in Warren, Ohio.\nIn this role, you will work closely with Product Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supplier partners to develop and industrialize new products from prototype through full-scale production. You will play a key role in designing manufacturing processes, developing tooling and fixturing, and introducing innovative technologies that improve product quality, efficiency, and scalability.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a hands-on environment, thrives on problem solving, and is passionate about bringing new products and manufacturing technologies to life.\nHOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE\nYou will partner with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to develop robust manufacturing solutions that support both new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.\nIn your daily work, you will:\nDevelop manufacturing processes for new products from prototype through serial production.\n\nDesign, develop, and implement tooling and fixturing solutions to support product development and manufacturing activities.\n\nLead advanced manufacturing projects focused on improving existing processes, equipment, and production methods.\n\nIdentify and incorporate leading-edge manufacturing technologies into Aptiv products and operations.\n\nCreate and maintain work instructions, process documentation, lessons learned, and project status updates.\n\nDevelop manufacturing process estimates and contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs) for product industrialization activities.\n\nCollaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing plants, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.\n\nDrive supplier activities, technical requirements, and project timelines to support launch objectives.\n\nUtilize data-driven analysis to support engineering decisions and process improvements.\n\nEnsure compliance with customer-specific requirements, internal quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.\n\nKEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\nTo be successful in this role, you should bring:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\n1-2 years of experience building, improving, repairing, or developing manufacturing equipment, fixtures, or processes.\n\n1-2 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.\n\nAbility to visualize manufacturing processes and understand component interactions.\n\nExperience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, NX, or similar design tools.\n\nAbility to translate ideas into technical concepts, CAD models, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and project execution skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.\n\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:\nCAM software such as Mastercam, Trumpf TruTops, or similar platforms.\n\nAutomated manufacturing equipment design and implementation.\n\nUltrasonic welding technologies.\n\nLaser cutting and laser welding processes.\n\nElectrical connector component design or assembly processes.\n\nDesign for Manufacturing (DFM) methodologies.\n\nProcess Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).\n\nAdvanced manufacturing automation and industrialization projects.\n\nMicrosoft Office applications including Excel, Project, Outlook, Word, and Teams.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nFull-time on-site role based at the Champion Technical Center in Warren, Ohio.\n\nCombination of office, laboratory, manufacturing facility, and supplier/customer interaction.\n\nUp to 10% travel may be required to support manufacturing plants, supplier assessments, technology evaluations, and project activities.\n\nHands-on involvement in prototype development, testing, tooling validation, and production support activities.\n\nWHY JOIN APTIV?\nWork on innovative technologies that shape the future of mobility.\n\nCollaborate with industry-leading engineers and manufacturing experts.\n\nGain hands-on experience developing cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.\n\nOpportunities for career growth, technical development, and leadership advancement.\n\nInclusive and collaborative work environment focused on innovation and continuous learning.\n\nCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.\n\nAPPLICANT PRIVACY NOTICE\nYour privacy is important to us.
