This is a unique opportunity to architect the end-to-end data journey from ingestion through visualization using technologies including Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, and modern data engineering practices.\nYou will partner with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, establish data engineering and analytics best practices, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to data developers in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nArchitect end-to-end data structures and workflows from ingestion through visualization using Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau.\nDefine and implement data engineering best practices that improve platform maintainability, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.\nProvide expertise in Snowflake data warehouse architecture, modeling, and development across diverse and nonuniform data sets.\nDesign and maintain data security and access controls while establishing effective source code management practices using GitHub.\nDevelop SQL, HTML, and JavaScript solutions to optimize the data platform and support analytics and visualization requirements.\nPartner with executives and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data architecture and analytics solutions.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data developers while promoting data engineering, analytics, CI/CD, and development best practices.\nYour Background\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus.\n10-12 years of Data Engineering development and visualization experience, including 6-8 years of Data Warehouse experience; Snowflake DWH experience is preferred.\n6-8 years of SQL experience, preferably Snowflake SQL, with strong data modeling and modern data warehouse expertise.\n2-4 years of dbt experience, 3-5 years of GitHub experience, and 2-3 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack; semantic layer experience is a plus.\n3-5 years of experience with Tableau Cloud or a comparable modern data visualization platform, plus 2+ years of Python development.\nExperience with enterprise systems including Salesforce, Workday, Oracle, Oracle BI, Jira, and financial planning applications such as Anaplan or Adaptive, with HTML and JavaScript experience related to Tableau preferred.\nFluent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.\nWhy join Wind River / Aptiv?\nYou grow at Aptiv.
