Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?\nYOUR ROLE\nThe Functional Safety Engineer on our team shall be responsible for safety work products development in several domains such as Software, Hardware and System.\nIn your daily job you will:\nAnalyze the feature hazards with safety analysis methods to develop system-level Technical Safety Concept and Technical Safety Requirements, in collaboration with engineering competencies.\nSecure traceability and maintenance of the safety requirements within the project system framework.\nGuide and Review plans and guide competencies against methods compliance to method selection plan and safety plan.\nLead the development of a System Core FS Technical Solution to include (but not limited to) the following key information - focusing on scalability and reusability.\nDevelopment Interface Agreement\nTechnical Safety Concept and Requirements.\nSafety analysis as applicable (Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis etc..)\nHardware-Software Safety related Interfaces\nStandardized set of SW Safety Mechanisms with a high level of reusability\nStandardized set HW Safety Mechanisms with high level of reusability\nAct as the domain expert to resolve technical issues with OEMs, suppliers, and other teams.\nParticipate and vote during the design reviews.\nActive participation in Functional Safety methods development\nBe part of the team to develop and modify the APTIV safety process.\nPerform technical assessments for the system safety compliance to ISO 26262 and APTIV development process.\nSupport Peer Review across the world as a technical expert.\nLead and/or support advanced systems or components of new features or new technology from the safety perspective.\nProvide Change Request Analysis for Product Change Evaluation as needed.\nYOUR BACKGROUND\nKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:\n1+ years of experience in functional safety for automotive \n3+ years of experience in the automotive industry.\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in electrical engineering, software or comparable.\nCuriously investigate everything - ability to solve problems analytically, creatively, and collaboratively.\nLead with confidence - thought leaders who empower those around them.\nLearn by doing - an entrepreneurial mindset that’s driven by hands-on experimentation.\nEmbrace resilience - seeing every challenge as a learning opportunity and invitation to grow.\nProven track on working with Hardware and Software ADAS architecture.\nProven track on development and implementation of technical safety concepts.\nProven track on safety analysis methods and Functional Safety Work Products (Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Development Interface Agreement, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment)\nStrong systems engineering background.\nManage of tools for requirements management (Polarion, DOORs, or similar)\nStrong Automotive SPICE knowledge and V-model development.\nAbility to drive technical solutions for SW and HW design.\nStrong mentoring and team-building skills.\nStrong presentation and communication skills.\nWritten and fluent spoken English.\nProven track on technical leadership.\nCertified in ISO 26262.
