Duties include repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance on new and/or existing equipment.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nInspect, operate, or test crimping machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.\nDismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools, or power tools.\nPerform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.\nDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.\nRepair machines, or equipment using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.\nMaintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery.\nAssemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components on machinery and equipment.\nClean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.\nAdjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, etc.\nOrder parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.\nPlan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.\nOperate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.\nRecord type and cost of maintenance or repair work.\nSetup and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.\nSetup crimp tools after being repaired or maintenance performed.\nAlign and balance new equipment after installation.\nInspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.\nEstimate costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.\nAdhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.\nPerform all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to proficiently use various company-related and external systems and databases.\nAbility to work effectively with internal/external personnel, and vendors.\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines.\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment and manage several tasks simultaneously.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates Degree in an electro-mechanical discipline preferred.\nMinimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of machine maintenance experience.\nStrong electrical/mechanical skills and aptitude. \nAbility to read or interpret blueprints and data.\nMust be able to troubleshoot electronics and associated controls.\nMust be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.\nMust be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.\nMust be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
