We are enabling the transition to software-defined vehicles supported by electrified and intelligently connected architectures - which will combine to power the future of mobility.\nPosition Summary\nThe Architect within the Aptiv LINC Middleware organization is responsible for defining the technical vision, architecture, and evolution of the Aptiv LINC platform. This role provides technical leadership across middleware services, platform infrastructure, software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures, cloud-connected vehicle solutions, and next-generation automotive software platforms.\nThe Architect collaborates with product management, OEM customers, engineering teams, system architects, and external partners to drive scalable, deterministic, secure, and portable middleware solutions supporting multiple vehicle domains including ADAS, Body, Connectivity, Cockpit, and Central Compute systems. Aptiv LINC emphasizes cross-domain middleware, API-first development, hardware abstraction, communication frameworks, execution management, diagnostics, OTA, containerization, and edge intelligence capabilities\nResponsibilities\nDefine and maintain the overall technical architecture of the Aptiv LINC middleware platform.\nDrive architectural direction for Communication Middleware, Platform services for maintaining lifecycle, health, state and storage management of SDV, OTA update management, diagnostics management and vehicle data management.\nDefine service oriented and event driver architectural patterns.\nProvide technical leadership across multiple global engineering teams.\nDrive adoption of engineering best practices and architectural governance.\nReview technical proposals, customer requirements, and product roadmaps.\nLead architecture reviews, design assessments and mentor juniors\nEngage directly with OEM customers to understand platform requirements and future SDV needs.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.\nExperience\n12+ years of software engineering experience.\n5+ years in software architecture or technical leadership roles.\nExperience delivering large-scale middleware or platform software products.\nKnowledge of safety, cybersecurity and quality processes\nStrong automotive software domain expertise.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of:\nC++ and modern software architecture\nLinux and POSIX systems\nReal-time and distributed systems\nMiddleware frameworks\nService-oriented architecture (SOA)\nEvent-driven architectures\nPreferred Qualifications\nExpertise in AUTOSAR Adaptive and Classic architectures.\nCI/CD and DevOps practices\nExperience with container orchestration frameworks.\nExperience with SDV architectures and central compute platforms.\nCloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.\nExperience supporting OEM engagements and technical business development activities.\nPublications, patents, conference presentations, or open-source contributions.\nWHY JOIN US?\nYou can grow at Aptiv.
