As an OTC Cash Applications Analyst at Aptiv, you will support the accurate and timely application, reconciliation, and resolution of customer payments.\nIn this role, you will analyze payment and remittance information, perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and unidentified payments, and collaborate with different functions to maintain accurate customer accounts.\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nCash Applications & Payment Processing\nEnsure timely application of payments received through wire transfers, ACH, checks, deposits, and other payment methods\nReview bank transactions, payment files, cash reports, and remittance information\nAnalyze invoices, credit notes, deductions, bank references, and open items to determine the correct allocation of payments\nApply and clear payments in SAP and/or HighRadius in accordance with accounting policies and established procedures\nEnsure receipts are recorded against the correct entity, account, and customer\nReconciliation & Exception Management\nPerform daily and month-end reconciliations between bank accounts, Accounts Receivable, unapplied cash accounts, and the general ledger\nInvestigate unidentified payments, missing remittances, duplicate payments, overpayments, discrepancies, unrecognized references, and deposits received in incorrect bank accounts\nRequest remittance information and clarifications from customers, banks, Treasury, Collections, and other involved teams\nCreate, update, and close cases in ServiceNow or other case-management tools\nMaintain accurate records and trackers for cash, residual items, pending remittances, and exceptions\nEscalate high-value items, close risks, system failures, missing documentation, and unresolved cases according to established processes\nReporting & Process Improvement\nPrepare and analyze Cash Applications reports and metrics, including applied cash, unapplied cash, residual aging, productivity, accuracy, and service-level performance\nIdentify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement\nSupport activities related to process transitions, documentation, and knowledge transfer\nParticipate in operational meetings, close reviews, audits, training sessions, and special projects related to Cash Applications\nCross-Functional Collaboration & Controls\nCollaborate with Collections to maintain accurate customer balances and support the resolution of outstanding items\nWork with Treasury, Accounting, Billing, Credit, Sales, and other related functions\nComply with internal controls, audit policies, segregation-of-duties requirements, and documentation standards\nMaintain confidentiality of financial and banking information\nYour Background\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field\nAdvanced English proficiency for verbal and written communication with global teams, customers, and banks\nMinimum 1 year of experience in OTC processes, Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, or related areas\nStrong numerical and analytical skills to investigate and resolve unidentified payments, discrepancies, deductions, duplicate payments, and other exceptions\nKnowledge of basic accounting principles, Accounts Receivable, and the Order-to-Cash cycle\nKnowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, including open-item review, clearing, and customer account analysis\nExperience with Cash Applications and case-management tools, preferably HighRadius and ServiceNow\nIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reconciliations, data lookups, and report preparation\nProficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy when recording, applying, and reconciling financial transactions\nStrong organization and priority-management skills\nEffective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills\nResults-oriented approach, sense of urgency, initiative, and follow-through\nContinuous-improvementmindset; knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable \nWhy Join Aptiv\nYou grow at Aptiv.\nAptiv's winning culture is global by design.
