As a Production Control Manager at Aptiv Honduras, you will lead the plant’s end-to-end Production Control and Logistics operations, supporting a large, complex manufacturing environment with global customers and suppliers.\nThis role oversees five key areas: Customer Service, Production Planning, Procurement, Customs and Logistics, and Warehousing. You will lead the coordinators responsible for each function and ensure the effective flow of materials, information, and finished goods across the operation.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nSupply Chain and Production Control\nLead the plant’s production control and logistics activities, including production planning, raw material ordering, warehouse operations, import and export processes, and finished-goods delivery.\nEnsure the appropriate use of resources to improve customer on-time delivery, inventory performance, and production continuity.\nCoordinate material requirements across suppliers located in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.\nSupport production and inventory activities in a large-scale manufacturing operation.\nDevelop and implement supply chain initiatives, systems, procedures, and operational improvements. \nInventory and Operational Performanc e\nDevelop, monitor, and improve critical inventory indicators across the organization.\nTrack inventory days, inventory adjustments, surplus and scrap, shipping costs, customer scorecards, and on-time delivery performance.\nEstablish benchmarks and controls to monitor plant inventory and logistics performance.\nIdentify and improve policies and procedures that contribute to inventory growth or operational inefficiencies.\nTrack monthly sales and confirm the plant’s operational commitments. \nCustomer, Supplier, and Cross-Functional Coordination\nOversee customer service activities and maintain effective relationships with customers.\nManage and resolve complex customer situations related to deliveries, inventory, and operational performance.\nEnsure timely communication among customers, business units, materials teams, manufacturing operations, support departments, suppliers, and warehouses.\nMonitor customer satisfaction and performance through customer scorecards and related KPIs.\nMaintain strong communication with corporate and regional stakeholders. \nTeam Leadership\nLead the coordinators responsible for Customer Service, Production Planning, Procurement, Customs and Logistics, and Warehousing.\nProvide direction and support to ensure effective execution across all Production Control and Logistics functions.\nMake operational decisions required to maintain continuous production and timely delivery of finished goods.\nPromote continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and effective problem-solving across the team. \nYour Background\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.\nMore than 5 years of relevant experience in Production Control, Supply Chain, Materials, Logistics, or a comparable management position.\nExperience within a manufacturing environment required; automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.\nStrong end-to-end understanding of supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, international logistics, customs, inventory management, warehousing, and customer service.\nKnowledge of Material Requirements Planning systems and strong SAP experience.\nExperience managing inventory KPIs, on-time delivery, shipping costs, inventory adjustments, and customer scorecards.\nAdvanced English communication skills, both written and verbal, due to regular interaction with corporate and regional stakeholders.\nIntermediate Excel skills.\nKnowledge of Pull Systems, MRP, supplier scheduling, PFEP, and Value Stream Mapping is desirable.\nAvailability to support a continuous manufacturing operation and provide occasional after-hours or weekend follow-up when required for customer needs, shipments, or material availability. \nKey Competencies\nStrong leadership and decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.\nAbility to handle multiple priorities in a complex manufacturing environment.\nStrong problem-solving and execution capabilities.\nEffective time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage challenging customer situations professionally.\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions, regions, and cultures. \nWhy Join Aptiv\nYou grow at Aptiv.\nAptiv’s winning culture is global by design.
