Your team will develop industry-leading radar sensors, associated software, and electronic control units (ECUs). These technologies enable the next generation of safety and comfort features for modern vehicles.\nIn this role, you will lead projects involving radar-enabled functions such as cyclist and pedestrian emergency braking and Traffic Jam Pilot. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage distributed, international teams, as most team members are based outside Germany. You will ensure seamless collaboration across locations, drive innovation, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope. You will also serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring clear communication, alignment on requirements, and proactive management of expectations.\nYour responsibilities:\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with the German premium OEM customer.\nLead internal and customer-facing project team meetings.\nPlan and control projects in accordance with the product development process and customer requirements.\nPrepare, manage, and ensure adherence to the project budget.\nManage project risks and escalations.\nPrepare regular status reports for management and customers.\nDefine and initiate measures to achieve project targets for timing, quality, and cost.\nEnsure the timely completion and delivery of the product from acquisition to industrialization in the plant.\nYour background:\nA successfully completed degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.\nSeveral years of project management experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a software-related environment.\nExperience in ADAS, with a focus on functional safety (ISO 26262); knowledge of radar technology is an advantage.\nFluency in written and spoken German is essential for this role; professional proficiency in English is also required.\nExcellent organizational and communication skills, combined with confidence and assertiveness.\nSound knowledge of business management principles and financial KPIs.\nKnowledge of software development processes and tools, such as Jira and Polarion, as well as Automotive SPICE and automotive cybersecurity.\nSystems engineering experience in the vehicle integration of ECUs and sensors.\nExperience in supplier tracking and management as well as industrialization of ECUs.\nA high level of integrity, commitment, initiative, flexibility, and teamwork.\nWhy join us?\nYou grow at Aptiv.
