For our engineering center in Krakow, Poland, we are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to develop machine learning solutions for perception, environment understanding, prediction, and planning in automotive applications.\nThe role supports assisted and automated parking functions, covering perception of parking environments, behavior understanding, and trajectory planning.\nYour role\nLead development of machine learning solutions for perception, prediction, and planning functions.\nDrive technical decisions, architecture, and algorithm design for complex AI/ML systems.\nDefine approaches for computer vision and multi-modal sensor fusion solutions.\nGuide system development from data pipelines and model training through deployment.\nMentor engineers and support technical growth within the team.\nEstablish evaluation methodologies and performance targets for production systems.\nCollaborate across global engineering teams and contribute to technology roadmaps.\nDrive continuous improvement of algorithms, tools, and engineering practices.\nYour background\nMSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related field.\nExtensive experience developing and delivering ML solutions in production environments.\nStrong expertise in several of:Computer vision (detection, segmentation, tracking, 3D perception)\nAdvanced deep learning architectures and transformer-based models\nRepresentation learning, self-supervised learning, multimodal learning, or generative AI\nPrediction, forecasting, planning, or reinforcement learning\n\nDeep hands-on experience with PyTorch or equivalent frameworks.\nStrong software engineering skills in Python and/or C++.\nExperience leading technical solutions from concept through deployment.\nStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.\nPreferred\nTechnical leadership of AI/ML projects or teams.\nExperience with large-scale training infrastructure and distributed learning.\nExperience with embedded deployment and performance optimization.\nDeep understanding of ADAS, autonomous driving, or automated parking systems.\nTrack record of patents, publications, or innovative product contributions.\nWhy join us?\nYou grow at Aptiv.
