If you want to be part of a unique culture where the lived experience is based on our cultural attributes of growth mindset, customer focus, and diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging, come join us and help advance the future software defined world.\nYOUR ROLE\nAs a Linux Systems Administrator on our team, you’ll work with an international team of Linux and Windows Administrators to provide daily Linux server support in a large-scale global multi-platform environment.\nYou will independently design, test, implement, troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure architectures to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services and Linux operating systems; Provide enterprise level support for hardware and Linux OS related issues; Evaluate, test and make recommendations on new/upgrades to hardware, OS, network and applications and their impact on existing system configurations; Document standards, implementation procedures and troubleshooting processes. Must be available to work 24x7 support rotation, which includes fielding trouble tickets. Must have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.\nIn your daily job you will:\nProvide specialized enterprise level support and management for Linux/Windows Infrastructure, DNS, NIS/IDM, NFS, SAMBA, and Dell server hardware.\nBuild/Install, support and maintain physical and virtual servers. Troubleshoot server and hardware issues and escalate as necessary.\nDevelop and implement business solutions and/or automation using Shell, Perl, Ansible automation\nMaintain system and security patches are up-to-date or current patches, updates, virus and malware protection for responsible architectures and applications.\nProvide monitoring and planning for growth and capacity.\nEnsure that production systems are backed up and protected.\nDocument infrastructure standards and processes, implementation procedures and troubleshooting processes.\nDesign, develop, and articulate solutions based on a strategic business or technical requirements. \nIntegrate new technologies to solve business requirements.\nCollaborate with internal and external teams to ensure engineered solutions are aligned to company standards.\nParticipate in a 24x7 support rotation, which includes fielding trouble tickets\nAnalyze the current enterprise and make recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design enhancements.\nParticipate in the selection of services and products from a variety of vendors.\nHOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE\nKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:\n5+ years’ experience with Linux Server Operation Systems\n2+ years’ experience with VMware or another Hypervisor\nExperience with Orcharhino/RH Satellite or other patch deployment tools\nExperience with a large-scale, multi-platform environment (500+ machines in multiples sites)\nSolid understanding of Linux security fundamentals\nStrong understanding of DNS, NIS/IDM, NFS, SAMBA\nStrong leadership skills and influence in one or more projects or disciplinary areas\nAbility to make decisions on non-routine matters within broadly defined policies and procedures\nStrong writing, verbal, and presentation skills\nAble to plan and execute complex projects with capability for complex analysis\nExtremely proficient with two or more IT disciplines\nExperience with project management on IT infrastructure projects\nExperience with the following is a plus:\nAmazon Web Services, Azure or other cloud technology\nF5 or another load balancer\nCloud backup solutions\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS\nSuccessful candidates must engage in a security clearance process in regard to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
