Your contribution to this role will impact the success of Wind River’s Simulation offering in the embedded space where Simics is used for simulation and modeling of processor architectures, System on Chips, devices, boards and etc. The focus of this role is to work with an elite team of SIMICS developers within Intel and WR to enhance and sustain the SIMICS 7 product lines.\nYOUR ROLE\nReport directly to Manager of Engineering, Simics Platform. You will be an integral part of the highly skilled \"Simics Simulation\" engineering team developing and sustaining technologies for WR Simics offerings.\nAs a Senior Engineer on the team, you will collaborate with senor members of the team to develop and deliver capabilities that will enhance and improve the Simulation platforms. This position is an opportunity for anyone who wants to expand their experiences into simulation and embedded systems.\nIn your daily job you will:\nDeveloping Simics device models \nIntegrating device models into virtual systems \nBring-up virtual systems \nScripting Simics to test specified scenarios \nDebugging and troubleshooting \nResolving problems reported from both internal and external customers \nHOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE\nKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:\nEssential for this role:\nBS or MS in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience\nA minimum of 5years of embedded software development experience\nExperience with low level embedded software (e.g. BSPs and device driver) development, debugging/trouble shooting\nStrong C and Python programming skills. Be able to produce high quality code fast.\nA good grasp of computer architecture and familiarity with the major embedded hardware architecture (e.g. ARM/PPC/x86)\nFamiliar with GIT and SVN.\nGood spoken and written English\nHonest and reliable\nSolid decision-making skills and judgment \nQuick learner, exhibit a level of self-motivation\nShould be a hands-on type of person with the initiative to dive in and do whatever is necessary to get the task completed\nDesirable for this role (nice to have):\nExperience with simulation technologies is a bonus.
