Leveraging your operating systems expertise, you will help design and implement new capabilities while upholding VxWorks’ core principles of security, safety, high performance, and real-time reliability.\nYour Role\nIn your daily job you will:\nDesign and develop OS technologies for WR next generation RTOS\nDevelop and deliver high quality design, code, and tests following a CI/CD model and agile methodology\nInvestigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and from customers\nCreate design documents for new technologies and conduct code reviews \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software solutions\nParticipate in all aspects of the software development process\nYour Background\nBachelor's or master's degree in computer science or computer/electrical engineering, or equivalent technical degree.\n3-5 years of relevant technical experience in operating systems development, including kernel and device driver development.\nGood understanding of OS concepts such as processes, threads, memory management, and file systems.\nExcellent programming skills using C\nProficiency in assembly, C++, Python, and other development languages is a plus.\nGood analytical and debugging skills.\nStrong understanding of operating system concepts\nGood written and oral communication skills.\nGood team player who works well in collaborative environments.\nSelf-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g. git) and the iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.\nExperience in developing software compliant with industry certification standards, including DO-178C, ISO 26262, ASPICE, MIL is a plus\nAbility to drive a project end-to-end, from concept and requirements through implementation, delivery, and release\nThis role is compensation range is between $110,000 - 120,000 CAD annual plus annual incentive plan bonus. Compensation is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members.
