The role will enable growth in aerospace, defence, and other regulated markets by identifying export-control requirements early and supporting compliant execution.\nReporting to the Director, Global Export Compliance & Strategy, the Manager will partner with business, Engineering, Sales, Operations, IT, Security, Legal, and Trade teams on classifications, licensing, customer reviews, and controlled technical data.\nYour Role\nServe as the primary export controls partner for Engineered Components and Aptiv Interconnect.\nEmbed export controls into customer pursuits, quotations, product development, and new program launches.\nIdentify requirements involving defence, aerospace, government, and other regulated customers and applications.\nProvide guidance on the EAR, ITAR, OFAC sanctions, licensing, classifications, and controlled technology transfers.\nClassify products, software, technology, and technical data using documented engineering and end-use information.\nAssess licensing requirements and prepare applications, agreements, and supporting documentation.\nConduct customer, end-user, end-use, destination, and sanctions reviews.\nEstablish controls for ITAR, and other restricted technical information.\nSupport assessments, investigations, disclosures, corrective actions, training, and recordkeeping.\nMonitor regulatory developments and strengthen execution through standardized processes, data, and technology.\nYour Background\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.\n5+ years of experience in export controls, sanctions, or international trade compliance.\nStrong knowledge of the EAR, ITAR, OFAC sanctions, and U.S. export licensing requirements.\nExperience classifying products, software, technology, and technical data.\nExperience supporting aerospace, defense, government, or other regulated markets.\nAbility to analyze technical information and translate regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.\nMust be eligible to access export-controlled information under applicable U.S. laws and authorizations.\nWhy join Aptiv ?\nYou grow at Aptiv.
