You will gain hands-on experience working with production software while learning the rigorous development and certification practices required by the DO-178C standard.\nYou will contribute to smaller development and certification activities, working alongside experienced engineers on requirements, design, code updates, reviews, and bug fixes.\nYour Responsibilities\nSupport software development and certification activities in accordance with DO-178C processes.\nContribute to requirements, software design, code updates, and technical reviews.\nWork on smaller pull requests and bug fixes with guidance from experienced team members.\nHelp maintain traceability between requirements, design, and source code as part of the certification process.\nParticipate in independent reviews of engineering work and documentation.\nCollaborate with team members throughout the software development and certification lifecycle.\nLearn and apply structured development practices required for safety-critical software.\nDemonstrate curiosity, willingness to learn, and active engagement with the engineering team. \nYour Background\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nAcademic, project, or professional experience with C or C++.\nPrevious internship or relevant practical experience is preferred.\nInterest in software development, software quality, and structured engineering processes.\nAbility and willingness to learn technical concepts and work within a rigorous development environment.\nAvailability to work on-site in the Ottawa area three days per week.\n\nWhy Join Aptiv / Wind River\nYou grow at Aptiv.\nAptiv's winning culture is global by design.
