Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?\nAs a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you will be the key link between Aptiv and our suppliers, ensuring the highest levels of quality, performance, and compliance across automotive electronic components and manufacturing processes. You will drive supplier development initiatives, lead problem-solving activities, support product launches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve world-class quality standards. Your work will directly contribute to reducing defects, improving supplier performance, minimizing production disruptions, and enhancing customer satisfaction.\nYour Responsibilities\nMonitor and improve supplier quality performance through key metrics, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead supplier development efforts to enhance process capability, product quality, and operational excellence.\nManage supplier-related quality issues, including containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.\nDrive problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and CAPA processes.\nSupport manufacturing operations by resolving supplier-related concerns and minimizing production impact.\nEnsure supplier compliance with customer, regulatory, and automotive quality requirements, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Program Management, and Customer Quality teams to support business objectives and successful product launches.\nAnalyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.\nConduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and escalation management activities when required.\nPromote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices throughout the supply base.\nYour Background\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n3 to 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Assurance, or the Automotive Industry.\nExperience working with automotive electronic products, components, or assemblies is preferred.\nUnderstanding of automotive quality methodologies and tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.\nExperience leading supplier quality investigations, 8D reports, corrective actions, and supplier escalation management.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and supplier management skills.\nAdvanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and statistical process control concepts.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as SMT, PCB assembly, injection molding, stamping, machining, die casting, connectors, or wire harnesses is highly valued.\nWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.\nCertifications such as VDA 6.3, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor, or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt are a plus.\nLocation: Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico\nWHY JOIN US?\nYou can grow at Aptiv.
