Occasional travel may be required.\nSalary Range:\n$52,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience\nPosition Overview:\nAptNexus is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter to serve as a Project Coordinator supporting a cybersecurity compliance program for our Department of Treasury customer. The program conducts recurring cybersecurity compliance reviews of government partner organizations to confirm that sensitive information entrusted to them is properly protected. In this role, you will coordinate the preparation phase of these reviews by managing stakeholder outreach, scheduling meetings in accordance with project plans and review schedules, tracking documentation, and keeping every review on schedule. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, operates with minimal supervision, and takes pride in getting every detail right.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nCoordinate pre-review activities for cybersecurity compliance assessments, including stakeholder outreach, information requests, and collection of required documentation.\nSchedule and coordinate meetings and conference calls among customer personnel, external stakeholders, and technical assessment teams in accordance with project plans and review schedules.\nBuild and maintain project calendars, review schedules, and trackers; identify and resolve scheduling conflicts before they affect timelines.\nTrack receipt of stakeholder documentation, follow up promptly on missing or incomplete items, and maintain accurate records in the customer’s case management system.\nPrepare and distribute correspondence and review preparation packages, verifying that recipients receive the correct and current versions of all materials.\nCapture detailed meeting notes and action items, and follow through to ensure action items are closed.\nAssist technical staff in compiling information for review planning and scoping documents, verifying completeness and accuracy before submission.\nCoordinate logistics for planning sessions and stakeholder meetings, including invitations, agendas, and distribution of materials.\nMaintain status of reviews, milestones, and deliverable due dates; provide regular updates to the Project Manager; and contribute to performance dashboards and status reports.\nPerform quality checks on outgoing documents for formatting, file naming, version control, and conformance with customer procedures and templates.\nAdapt quickly to schedule changes, unplanned reviews, and shifting stakeholder availability.\nComply with all customer security, privacy, and records management requirements, using only Government-furnished equipment and approved systems.\nRequired Skills\nOne to three years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, or operations support, preferably in cybersecurity, IT, compliance, audit, or federal contracting. Recent graduates with relevant internship or academic project experience are encouraged to apply.\nDemonstrated experience, whether professional, internship, or academic, identifying and applying information security or cybersecurity requirements.\nExceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage many concurrent schedules, deadlines, and documents with a high degree of accuracy.\nSelf-starter who takes ownership of assignments, anticipates next steps, and drives tasks to completion with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate meetings across multiple stakeholders, organizations, and time zones in accordance with project plans.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook calendar management, Word, Excel, and Teams. Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or a case management or ticketing system is preferred.\nWorking familiarity with information security concepts and frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework or NIST SP 800-53 is preferred.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment while remaining highly responsive during core business hours.\nPreferred Certifications (not required):\nCompTIA Security+ CE\nCompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)\nSystems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)\nGIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)\nCertified Network Defender (CND)\nCertified Ethical Hacker (CEH)\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous approach to customer personnel and external stakeholders.\nHighly organized, proactive, and dependable, with sound judgment in handling sensitive information.\nMust meet federal eligibility requirements for a position of public trust, including U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency, federal tax compliance, Selective Service registration (if applicable), a credit check, and fingerprinting.\nMust complete customer-required security awareness training upon onboarding and annually thereafter.\nEducation Requirement:\nAssociate’s degree or higher from a minimum two-year information technology or cybersecurity program at an accredited college or university. Candidates with a high school diploma and one of the certifications listed above will also be considered.
