The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex commercial construction projects within defined timelines and budgets. This role ensures adherence to project management best practices and methodologies, while leading by example, and embodying APX Construction Group’s vision, mission, values, and culture of safety.\nIf you're passionate about what you do, value innovation, and want to be part of a team that's redefining the industry, we want you to come Build Blue with us and help us continue to Innovate and elevate the construction experience.\nHours and Schedule\nMonday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (occasional travel as required).\nPrimarily office-based with field visits as necessary within a 120-mile radius of Minneapolis/Mankato, Minnesota.\nReports To: VP of Construction\nPay: Salary: $120,000-$165,000 Exempt\nPositions Supervised: N/A\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nLead the project team in project startup tasks, including, but not limited to; Pre-construction design development, budgeting and estimating.\n Assist the estimating team in attending pre-bid meetings, performing quantity take-offs, soliciting subcontractor proposals, and submitting bids to clients.\n Permit submission and approval\n Execute and manage subcontract agreements Plans.\n Manages project budgets and schedules, making necessary adjustments.\n Create, distribute, & collect submittals for project manager review.\n Assisting in Creation and Maintaining Overall Project Schedules.\n Assisting in trade partner coordination & scheduling.\n\nLead the project team in project delivery tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to; Functioning as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative\n Ensuring trade partners and APX project teams are following the APX safety Requirements.\n Documenting meeting minutes at subcontractor or owner meetings. Distributing Minutes after Completion of meeting.\n Create, distribute, & review RFI’s.\n Project Documentation - updating and distributing construction drawings and specifications.\n\nCompleting concrete, in-wall, & above ceiling inspections prior to city inspections.\nPrepare reports regarding job status.\nCreating and maintaining project look ahead schedules.\nMaintain city inspection records.\nConduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.\nConducts key customer service visits throughout the project, from pre- construction meetings to close-out, ensuring project commitments are met and issues are resolved.\nLead the project team in project closeout tasks.\nLead the project team in financial management of the projects, including, but not limited to; Conduct quantity take off’s to accurately measure subcontractor proposals\n Complete project projections, margin plans, & change order management.\n Review and approve subcontractor payment applications.\n Review and approve material supplier invoices.\n Complete monthly owner payment applications\n\nRequirements\nExperience & Education Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or business-related field\nMinimum of five years’ experience in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field\n8+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in commercial construction.\nQualifications\nCertified in OSHA 10 or 30 (preferred).\nStrong knowledge of commercial construction methods, practices, and tools.\nProficiency in project management software, including ProCore and Bluebeam.\nExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nValid driver’s license.\nRequirements\nAbility to read, understand and implement project plans and documents\nAbility to multitask and exercise independent judgment related to the daily administration of projects\nAbility to communicate both written and verbally highly detailed information between project managers, foreman, field crew, subcontractors, and architects/engineers\nAble to work in a team environment and foster positive and professional relationships\nPhysical Requirements\nRequired to sit for long periods of time; stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop\nAdditional Information\nThis position requires a highly organized individual with the ability to manage complex projects, work collaboratively across departments, and uphold APX Construction's commitment to excellence.
