You'll help turn it into something we can build a thousand times over.\nWho we are\nWe're a smart hydration company rebuilding an industry that still runs on sugar water and single-use packaging.\nFiltered water, functional flavors, zero bottles. Still, sparkling, cold, and hot. All poured from one tap. We create hydration people want to reach for, starting with the workplace where we help teams thrive.\nAs an AI-native company, we build at speed. In 2025, Aquablu ranked 2nd in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 (Netherlands) and 30th in the Sifted 250 (Europe), both rankings of the fastest-growing companies by revenue growth. In 2026 we were named a winner of Maya's Culture 100 Europe Awards as one of the best workplaces to thrive in.\nGrowing that fast and thriving comes down to our people. Our team is our biggest asset and one that we’re proud of. We’re committed to maintaining our vibrant culture as we continue to grow.\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a hands-on engineering working student to join the pilot build of BOLD, Aquablu's next-generation product. You'll set up the build area, verify parts, assemble pilot units, and write the documentation that shapes how our products get built at scale. It's a genuine see-it-through project: you'll watch, and help decide, how a product moves from first bench build to a repeatable manufacturing process, working directly alongside the engineers responsible for it.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild the workshop from scratch. Benches, racking, jigs, the works.\n\nPlay detective with incoming parts: does it match the BOM, and is it the right part?\n\nGet hands-on with measuring gear, from calipers and micrometers to a CMM if the build calls for it. We'll teach you.\n\nAssemble the pilot units, and keep notes when things don't go to plan.\n\nWrite the how-to manual for BOLD as you go, so the next person doesn't have to guess.\n\nHelp work out what needs to change to go from \"we built one\" to \"we can build thousands.\"\n\nPut finished units through their paces on the test rig, and report back what breaks.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring (Must-Have)\nCurrently studying mechanical, mechatronic, industrial, or manufacturing engineering\n\nAvailable for 20-24 hours a week minimum (we are open to full-time, 0-hour contracts)\n\nComfortable getting hands-on with tools: hand tools, fasteners, torque tools, workshop basics\n\nAble to read a technical drawing\n\nKnow your way around basic measuring gear (calipers, micrometers, gauges)\n\nFluent in English\n\nOrganized and careful with parts, revisions, and records. The kind of person who notices when something's off.\n\nNice to Have\nPrior CMM or other coordinate measuring experience\n\nTime in a workshop or lab outside of coursework: personal projects, student teams, previous internships\n\nFamiliarity with CAD or reading BOMs\n\nA knack for spotting when something isn't right, and the initiative to flag it early\n\nWhy join us?\nThis isn't your normal working student job. You'll work directly with our Engineering team and can be a major part in getting our newest product built!\nA hourly salary of 15-20€, based on level of education (Bachelor, Master degree)\n\nHealthy (heavily discounted) lunches\n\nWork on a brand with purpose - shaping how the world hydrates while eliminating single-use plastics\n\nFast-moving environment with fresh challenges every week\n\nAn ambitious, bold, and fun crew that's always got your back\n\nCurious about our story & culture?
