This is a highly visible individual contributor position responsible for the day to day delivery of internal IT services, Microsoft cloud administration, employee technology support, IT asset management, and the adoption of AI and automation across the business.\nThis is a team of one role with no direct reports. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with operational ownership and enjoys being directly involved in solving problems, supporting employees, and improving how technology enables the business.\nThe ideal candidate has deep experience with the Microsoft technology stack, a strong understanding of modern workplace technologies, and a genuine interest in applying AI and automation to improve productivity and operational efficiency.\nReporting to the SVP of Service Delivery, this individual will partner with business stakeholders, Engineering, Security, Managed Services, and external vendors to ensure internal technology services are secure, reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.\nUnlike many internal IT roles, this position has access to Aqueduct's deep bench of engineering, cloud, security, and managed services expertise. You will have the autonomy and accountability to own internal IT while leveraging specialized technical resources when needed.\nThis is a hybrid position based at Aqueduct's headquarters in Canton, MA, with an expectation of working onsite approximately 2 to 3 days per week.\nCore Responsibilities\nInternal IT Operations & Employee Support\nOwn the day to day operation of Aqueduct's internal technology environment, serving as the primary point of contact for employee IT support.\nIndependently troubleshoot and resolve helpdesk tickets involving hardware, software, Microsoft 365, connectivity, access, and workplace technology.\nManage the complete employee onboarding and offboarding process, including device provisioning, account creation, permissions, application access, and equipment recovery.\nConfigure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, workstations, mobile devices, and other employee technology.\nSupport corporate headquarters, conference rooms, collaboration spaces, lab technology, and shared office systems.\nDevelop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, standards, and internal IT knowledge resources.\nIdentify recurring issues and implement improvements that increase reliability and enhance the employee technology experience.\nMicrosoft Cloud & Enterprise Technology Administration\nAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Aqueduct's Microsoft environment, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure services.\nManage identity and access, user accounts, security groups, permissions, licensing, endpoint configurations, and device compliance.\nSupport core enterprise business applications, SaaS platforms, integrations, and modern workplace technologies.\nMaintain reliable operation of workplace infrastructure, office technology, and business critical systems.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Security, and Managed Services teams to address complex technical challenges and ensure alignment with established security and operational standards.\nEvaluate and recommend technology improvements that support business productivity, collaboration, and operational efficiency.\nAI, Automation & Business Enablement\nHelp drive the practical adoption of AI and modern workplace technologies across Aqueduct.\nApply hands on knowledge of AI productivity platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and other emerging AI tools to improve business processes.\nPartner with business leaders to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and technology can reduce manual work and improve productivity.\nDevelop, implement, or coordinate automation workflows using tools such as Power Automate, PowerShell, and other integration platforms.\nSupport business application integrations and initiatives that streamline internal operations.\nPromote responsible AI adoption through employee education, best practices, and ongoing support.\nStay current with emerging AI capabilities and recommend practical solutions that deliver measurable business value.\nIT Asset Management, Vendors & Financial Oversight\nOwn the complete lifecycle of internal IT assets, including procurement, inventory, deployment, assignment, recovery, refresh planning, and secure disposal.\nMaintain accurate records of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and technology subscriptions.\nReview and validate IT vendor invoices, software subscriptions, licensing expenses, and recurring technology costs.\nTrack renewals, identify unused licenses or unnecessary expenses, and recommend opportunities for cost optimization.\nCoordinate third party vendors, service providers, and technology partners supporting the internal environment.\nEnsure equipment, software, and technology resources are properly managed and accounted for.\nOperational Excellence, Security & Continuous Improvement\nRegularly assess the internal IT environment to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.\nMaintain alignment with established security policies, governance requirements, and technology standards.\nSupport technology planning, change management, and internal improvement initiatives.\nExecute internal technology projects aligned with company priorities.\nEstablish repeatable processes that improve service quality, operational consistency, documentation, and accountability.\nBalance daily employee support responsibilities with longer term initiatives that improve the overall technology environment.\nCollaboration & Business Partnership\nBuild trusted relationships across the organization through responsive, professional, and solutions oriented service.\nPartner with business leaders to understand technology needs, challenges, and priorities.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Security, Managed Services, and other internal teams to deliver technology initiatives.\nCommunicate technical recommendations, project updates, operational issues, and improvement opportunities clearly to stakeholders.\nDemonstrate Aqueduct's values through accountability, integrity, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n7+ years of hands on IT experience supporting and administering corporate or enterprise technology environments.\nStrong technical proficiency with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and related Microsoft cloud technologies.\nProven experience independently troubleshooting and resolving employee technology issues across hardware, software, identity, networking, and cloud platforms.\nExperience managing endpoint devices, user provisioning, employee onboarding and offboarding, and IT asset lifecycle processes.\nPractical experience with AI productivity tools and a strong understanding of how AI and automation can improve business operations.\nExperience supporting enterprise business applications, SaaS platforms, and workplace technology.\nUnderstanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, cloud technologies, and IT operational best practices.\nExperience coordinating technology vendors, managing software licensing, and maintaining accurate IT inventory and documentation.\nStrong organizational, troubleshooting, communication, and project execution skills.\nAbility to independently prioritize and execute daily IT responsibilities while driving continuous improvement.\nComfortable operating as a hands on individual contributor with full ownership of internal IT services.\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience.\nPreferred Skills & Qualifications\nMicrosoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, or identity administration.\nHands on experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, PowerShell, or similar AI and automation technologies.\nExperience implementing AI driven workflows, process automation, or business application integrations.\nExperience reviewing IT expenses, software renewals, vendor invoices, and licensing optimization opportunities.\nExperience working in a Microsoft centric technology environment.\nPrevious experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP), Value Added Reseller (VAR), or technology consulting organization.\nCompensation\nThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
